What if I Fall?

One of my LinkedIn connections posted this quote a couple of days ago and I cannot stop thinking about it. It has always been my favorite quote and I find it to be very inspiring.

The quote "What if I fall? Oh, but darling, what if you fly?" is from a poem by Australian poet Erin Hanson . The poem's full opening lines are, "There is freedom waiting for you on the breezes of the sky, and you ask, 'What if I fall?' Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?'" The quote suggests that overcoming fears can lead to feelings of freedom. The poem also includes the line, "We fly when we focus our attention on solutions and step up to take action".

In my lifetime, I have always been frozen in my tracks by all the "what-if's" that pop up. Sometimes, these fears literally send me down a bunny trail of analysis paralysis and I end up not doing anything. I interpret this inspiring quote to mean, "Do it Scared", or "Step out of your Comfort Zone".
